Imam Hadi (PBUH)

Imam Ali Al-Hadi Al-Naqi (Arabic: علی الهادی النقی‎), also known as Hadi is the tenth Imam of Shia Muslims.

Birth in Medina

Imam Hadi (PBUH) was born in Midina in 828 A.D (212 A.H) accepted that he was born between 827–830 CE (Zul Hajjah, 15, 212 A.H). Imam Hadi (PBUH) was born in Medina to the ninth Shia Imam, Imam Jawad (PBUH) and Lady Sumanah.

Imam Jawad (PBUH)

Imam Muhammad Al-Taqi Al-Jawad (Arabic: الإمام محمد التقی الجواد) is the ninth Imam of Shia. Jawad means generouse. Imam Jawad (PBUH) was the shortest-lived of the Twelve Imams, he lived only 25 years.

Birth in Medina

Imam Jawad (PBUH) was born in 811 A.D (10th, Rajab, 195 A.H). His mother was Sabika, a woman from the noble family of Maria al-Qibtiyya, and his father was Imam Reza (PBUH).

Imam Musa Kazim (PBUH)

Imam Musa Ibn Ja‘far Al-Kazim (Arabic: موسى بن جعفر الکاظم‎), is known for his nickname Al-Kazim (the forbearing), Generosity was synonymous with his name and no beggar ever returned from his door empty handed. Even after his martyrdom, he continued to be obliging and was generous to his devotees who came to his holy tomb with prayers and behests which were invariably granted by God. Thus, one of his additional titles is also “Bab Al-Hawaij” (the door to fulfilling needs).he is the seventh Shia Imam after his father Imam Sadiq (PBUH). Imam Sadiq (PBUH)

Imam Ja’far Ibn Muḥammad Al-Ṣadiq (Arabic: جعفر بن محمد الصادق‎) (PBUH) was known as Imam sadiq, was a descendant of Imam Ali (PBUH) from his father’s side and a descendant of Lady Fatimah (PBUH) from his mother’s side and was himself a prominent jurist. He is revered as an Imam by the Shia and as a renowned Islamic scholar and personality by Sunni Muslims. The Shia Muslims consider him to be the Sixth Imam or leader and spiritual successor to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He is highly respected by both Sunni and Shia Muslims for his great Islamic scholarship, pious character, great personal merits and academic contributions.

Imam Baqir (PBUH)

Imam Muḥammad Al-Baqir (Arabic: محمد الباقر ‎) was Known as Baqir (the one who splits open knowledge). He is the fifth Shia Imam after his father Imam Sajjad (PBUH). His mother was the daughter of Imam Hassan Mojtaba (PBUH). Thus, he was the only Imam who was connected with Lady Fatimah (PBUH), both from his paternal and maternal sides.

Imam Sajjad (PBUH)

Ali ibn Hussain (PBUH) (Arabic: علی بن الحسین‎) known as Zain al-Abidin (the adornment of the worshippers) and Sajjad (The Prostrating one), is the fourth Shia Imam, after his father Imam Hussain (PBUH), his uncle Imam Hassan Mojtaba (PBUH), and his grandfather Imam Ali (PBUH), the Prophet’s successor. He survived the Battle of Karbala because he was sick and he couldn’t fight. He was taken along with the enslaved women to Yazid in Damascus. Eventually, however, he was allowed to return to Medina where he led a secluded life with only a few intimate companions. Imam Sajjad’s life and statements were entirely devoted to asceticism and religious teachings mostly in the form of invocations and supplications. His famous supplications are well known as Al-Sahifa Al-Sajjadiya.

Abbas son of Ali (PBUH)

Abbas son of Ali (Arabic: Abbas ebne Ali) well-known as Abulfazl (Father of Virtue) and Ghamar Bani Hashem (the Moon of Hashem family), son of Imam Ali (PBUH) and younger brother of Imam Hassan (PBUH) and Imam Hussain (PBUH). His fame and popularity among Muslims and non-Muslims and Shias in particular is more due to him being a courageous valour and also his loyalty to Imam Hussain (PBUH) in Karbala. The resting place of Abbas son of Ali in Karbala lies in the same battleground where the Karbala incident happened. The commemoration of his martyrdom, as an old common custom, is held on the ninth day of the lunar calendar month of Muharram, named as Tasu’a.

Imam Hussain (PBUH)

Imam Hussain (PBUH) (Arabic:  حسین )‎; sometimes spelled Hussein, was the son of Imam Ali (PBUH) (fourth Rashidun Caliph of Sunni , and first Imam of Shia Islam) and Lady Fatimah (PBUH) (daughter of the prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the younger brother of Imam Hassan Mojtaba (PBUH). Imam Hassan Mojtaba (PBUH)

Imam Hassan Ibn Ali (Arabic: الحسن بن علی بن أبی طالب‎) born March 4, 625 CE (Ramadan 15th, 3 AH) – martyred March 9, 670 CE (Safar 7th, 50 AH) is an important figure in Islam. He is the son of Imam Ali (PBUH) and Lady Fatimah (PBUH). After his father’s martyrdom, he briefly succeeded him as Imam, the Caliph and leader of Muslims (before the Prophet’s martyrdom, Gad had determined 12 Successor of the prophet as Imam and leader) . Imam Hassan (PBUH) is 2nd Imam of Shia Muslims. Imam Hassan is also highly respected by the Sunni as the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
