Common Taqibaat of Daily Prayers from Mafatih & Baqiyatus salehat5
اَللَّهُمَّ ٱغْفِرْ لِی مَا قَدَّمْتُ وَمَا خَّرْتُ |
all¡humma ighfir l¢ m¡ qaddamtu wa m¡ akhkahartu |
O Allah, (please) forgive me my sins: the past, the coming, |
وَمَا سْرَرْتُ وَمَا عْلَنْتُ |
wa m¡ asrartu wa m¡ a`lantu |
the hidden, and the open, |
وَإِسْرَافِی عَلَىٰ نَفْسِی |
wa isr¡f¢ `al¡ nafs¢ |
as well as my transgression against myself |
وَمَا نْتَ عْلَمُ بِهِ مِنِّی |
wa m¡ anta a`lamu bih¢ minn¢ |
and all that which You know better than I do. |
اَللَّهُمَّ نْتَ ٱلْمُقَدِّمُ وَٱلْمُؤَخِّرُ |
all¡humma anta almuqaddimu walmu'akhkhiru |
O Allah, You are the One Who brings forward and puts off— |
لاَ إِلٰهَ إِلاَّ نْتَ |
l¡ il¡ha ill¡ anta |
there is no god save You— |
بِعِلْمِکَ ٱلْغَیْبَ |
bi`ilmika alghayba |
on account of Your knowledge about the unseen |
وَبِقُدْرَتِکَ عَلَىٰ ٱلْخَلْقِ جْمَعِینَ |
wa biqudratika `al¡ alkhalqi ajma`¢na |
and your power over all of the creatures. |
مَا عَلِمْتَ ٱلْحَیَاةَ خَیْراً لِی فَحْیِنِی |
m¡ `alimta al¦ayata khayran l¢ fa'a¦yin¢ |
(Please) keep me alive as long as You know that life is better for me (than death), |
وَتَوَفَّنِی إِذَا عَلِمْتَ ٱلْوَفَاةَ خَیْراً لِی |
wa tawaffan¢ idh¡ `alimta alwaf¡ta khayran l¢ |
but cause me to die when You know that death is better for me (than survival). |
اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّی سْلُکَ خَشْیَتَکَ |
all¡humma inn¢ as'aluka khashyataka |
O Allah, I beseech You for fear of You |
فِی ٱلسِّرِّ وَٱلْعَلاَنِیَةِ |
f¢ alssirri wal`al¡niyati |
in hidden and in open situations, |
وَکَلِمَةَ ٱلْحَقِّ فِی ٱلْغَضَبِ وَٱلرِّضَا |
wa kalimata al¦aqqi f¢ algha¤abi walrri¤¡ |
for uttering the word of truth in anger and in pleasure, |
وَٱلْقَصْدَ فِی ٱلْفَقْرِ وَٱلْغِنَىٰ |
walqa¥da f¢ alfaqri walghin¡ |
and for economy in poverty and in richness. |
وَسْلُکَ نَعِیماً لاَ یَنْفَدُ |
wa as'aluka na`¢man l¡ yanfadu |
I also beseech You for inexhaustible bliss |
وَقُرَّةَ عَیْنٍ لاَ تَنْقَطِعُ |
wa qurrata `aynin l¡ tanqa§i`u |
and for incessant delight. |
وَسْلُکَ ٱلرِّضَا بِٱلْقَضَاءِ |
wa as'aluka alrri¤¡ bilqa¤¡'i |
I also beseech You for satisfaction with decrees, |
وَبَرَکَةَ ٱلْمَوْتِ بَعْدَ ٱلْعَیْشِ |
wa barakata almawti ba`da al`ayshi |
for the blessing of death after life, |
وَبَرْدَ ٱلْعَیْشِ بَعْدَ ٱلْمَوْتِ |
wa barda al`ayshi ba`da almawti |
for the glee of life after death, |
وَلَذَّةَ ٱلْمَنْظَرِ إِلَىٰ وَجْهِکَ |
wa ladhdhata alman¨ari il¡ wajhika |
for the enjoyment of looking at Your Face, |
وَشَوْقاً إِلَىٰ رُؤْیَتِکَ وَلِقَائِکَ |
wa shawqan il¡ ru'yatika wa liq¡'ika |
and for yearning for seeing and meeting You |
مِنْ غَیْرِ ضَرَّاءَ مُضِرَّةٍ |
min ghayri ¤arr¡'a mu¤irratin |
without there being any harmful misery |
وَلاَ فِتْنَةٍ مُضِلَّةٍ |
wa l¡ fitnatin mu¤illatin |
or misleading sedition. |
اَللَّهُمَّ زَیِّنَّا بِزِینَةِ ٱلإِیـمَانِ |
all¡humma zayyinn¡ biz¢nati al-¢m¡ni |
O Allah, (please) adorn us with the adornment of faith |
وَٱجْعَلْنَا هُدَاةً مُهْتَدِینَ |
waj`aln¡ hud¡tan muhtad¢na |
and make us guides and well-guided. |
اَللَّهُمَّ ٱهْدِنَا فِیمَنْ هَدَیْتَ |
all¡humma ihdin¡ f¢man hadayta |
O Allah, (please) guide us (to the truth) amongst those whom You guide. |
اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّی سْلُکَ عَزِیمَةَ ٱلرَّشَادِ |
all¡humma inn¢ as'aluka `az¢mata alrrash¡di |
O Allah, I beseech You for determination to follow the true guidance |
وَٱلثَّبَاتِ فِی ٱلمْرِ وَٱلرُّشْدِ |
walththab¡ti f¢ al-amri walrrushdi |
and for steadfastness in all affairs and all reasonable matters. |
وَسْلُکَ شُکْرَ نِعْمَتِکَ |
wa as'aluka shukra ni`matika |
I also beseech You to make me thank You for Your graces, |
وَحُسْنَ عَافِیَتِکَ |
wa ¦usna `¡fiyatika |
to grant me excellent wellbeing from You, |
وَدَاءَ حَقِّکَ |
wa ad¡'a ¦aqqika |
and to lead me to carry out my duty towards You. |
وَسْلُکَ یَا رَبِّ قَلْباً سَلِیماً |
wa as'aluka y¡ rabbi qalban sal¢man |
I also beseech You, O my Lord, for sound heart |
وَلِسَاناً صَادِقاً |
wa lis¡nan ¥¡diqan |
and truthful tongue. |
وَسْتَغْفِرُکَ لِمَا تَعْلَمُ |
wa astaghfiruka lim¡ ta`lamu |
I implore You to forgive me for what You know (about me), |
وَسْلُکَ خَیْرَ مَا تَعْلَمُ |
wa as'aluka khayra m¡ ta`lamu |
I beseech You for the best of what You known (about my affairs), |
وَعُوذُ بِکَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا تَعْلَمُ |
wa a`£dhu bika min sharri m¡ ta`lamu |
and I pray Your protection against the evil of what You know, |
فَإِنَّکَ تَعْلَمُ وَلاَ نَعْلَمُ |
fa'innaka ta`lamu wa l¡ na`lamu |
because You verily know while we do not, |
وَنْتَ عَلاَّمُ ٱلْغُیُوبِ |
wa anta `all¡mu alghuy£bi |
and You are the best knowing of all hidden things. |
