A Shia Allameh (scholar) was having a debate with a group of non-Shia scholars.
Non-Shia scholars: Why do Shiites talk so much about “Imamate”, while there are many important matters in Islam, such as Salaat (prayers), Siam (fasting), Hajj and alike?
It is written in numerous references that: “Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib and some others were sitting in front of the Kaaba in the Masjid-al-Haram, when suddenly Fatimah Bint Assad came and stood there while she was struggling with pains of childbirth and prayed: “O my Lord! I believe in You and all Your messengers and holy books sent from You, and I acknowledge the words of my ancestor Abraham, the Khalil (the friend of Allah), who has built this Kaaba. O my Lord!
The words of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) are that “the most dignified way to die is to be martyred.”1
“Self-sacrifice is the best (form of) benevolence and the highest stage of faith.” 2
Martyrdom in Islam is a major concept. Anyone who fails to grasp the meaning of martyrdom, will also not understand the sublime message in Islam.
22% of SA population has been comprised of Shiites. In the recent eight decades elapsing from Saudi Family kingdom, Shiites in the kingdom have encountered many discriminations and confinements that it is aiming to discuss here.
Qadr means gauge and measurement and the Qadr night is the night of measurement and the almighty god ordains the events of one year in the night of Qadr, and life, death, gain, happiness and misfortune of people and affairs like that shall be destined in the night of Qadr.
According to Sunni and Shia narrations:
Prophet Muhammad: “My Ummah (my people) will be divided into seventy three sects. All of them will be in the Hell Fire except one” (Sahih Muslim, no.976)
Hijab is not a recent issue and hasn’t been created by the modern man, but it is as old as the Abrahamic religions. “Women’s covering” is the common practice among all the Abrahamic religions such as Judaism, Christianity and Islam, and it is an understanding that has been affirmed by all of them.
God says in the Holy Quran:
“The day we shall call forth all mankind along with their Imams (leaders), (meaning resurrection day)” (17-71)
And in another verse God recalls two groups of Imams in Quran:
The first group:
“We turned them into Imams who invite to the Fire. On Resurrection Day they will not be supported” (28-41)
According to this verse, there are a group of Imams who invite to fire. So there should be some Imams to invite to the paradise.
Why hasn’t Quran covered any thorough and clear point about Imam Mahdi (the savior of the last era) so that people don’t fall into the trap of fake quotations?
From Quran’s point of view,
One of the issues that is propagated about Islam is that, this religion promotes violence. Some by referring to the 5th verse of chapter Al-Tawbah (Chapter nine) claim that the Quran orders Muslims to kill infidels wherever they see them. Therefore, they consider the actions of Takfiri groups such as the ISIS as following this verse.
